We are looking for junior or senior undergraduate students entering their junior or senior year enrolled in an accredited college with a focus in information technology, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.

The Undergraduate track is open to any student who is currently enrolled in a college or university program.

In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, college interns share professional development opportunities and group workshops as well as industry and organization overviews.

Situation Overview

The Information Security Vulnerability Management team is responsible for managing Vulnerable Items (VITs) across the organization.

The team is required to conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments in an effort to validate, filter, identify, and take action on data.

Through collaboration from different units, the team helps identify areas for improvement through integrations from multiple security systems to the ServiceNow Security Vulnerability Handler.

These tasks require the ability to learn and understand information security policies and standards.

Tasks may include assisting the team with: documenting jobs, creating process flow diagrams, evaluating VIT, monitoring VIT, scheduling meetings, taking meeting notes, creating or updating knowledge base articles, researching vulnerability management tools, creating Excel reports, analyzing issues, and Test improvements.

This position works closely with IT groups outside InfoSec and business units involved in VIT processing.

Knowledge and skills / technology used

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Visio)

Working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change regularly, requiring the ability to adapt and adopt quickly

The ability to self-start and be versatile in a dynamic environment

Strong problem-solving skills

It listens to others and accepts input from team members

Interesting and willing to learn

Basic interest and awareness of information security and cybersecurity

Problem-solving ability, detail-oriented, and conscientious about all work performed

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic awareness of the server and operating systems

Knowledge of the basics of the Agile methodology

Ability to work from home
