Work responsibilities

As a software engineer, you will help integrate and test complete SATCOM systems including remote modems, antenna systems, and ground station equipment. You will interact and collaborate with systems, software, and hardware engineers as new capabilities are developed and brought into service. In addition, you will provide support for service architecture to help support an operational global network when support is required from development or testing.


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science and its applications, computer science and computer systems engineering, computer science and engineering, computer science and mathematics, computer science and network security, computer science and telecommunications, electrical engineering and computer science, mathematics and computer science, and/or a related field
  • Previous experience coding in Python
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP network basics
  • Knowledge of accurate software development methodologies
  • Exposure or desire to work with automation, embedding and scripting


  • Previous training experience in software development and/or testing related areas
  • Previous experience coding in Python, JavaScript, and/or Java
  • Exposure to publishing tools such as Amazon Web Services, Heroku, Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Puppet, CHEF, CF Engine, Ansible, and Docker
