Job description: Guided by its mission to “Change Lives Through Better Wellness,” California Health Collaborative (CHC) partners with local communities to implement a broad range of innovative, culturally responsive community health solutions that improve the lives of those served. The CHC – Unidos Por Salud Project is a tobacco prevention program serving the Central Valley that is dedicated to reducing tobacco-related health inequalities, particularly among the Hispanic/Latino population. The program provides services to communities in Merced, Mariposa, Madera, Fresno, Tulare, Kings and Kern County.
The Central Valley Tobacco Control Policy Internship Program (CVTCP) was created to provide opportunities for college/university students to directly participate in making policy change, preparing and engaging college students in public health, and reducing tobacco-related health disparities in the Central Valley.
This is a paid internship opportunity for undergraduate students who are passionate about serving and reducing the health disparities negatively affecting Hispanics/Latinos in the Central Valley. Students will be directly involved in bringing about policy change and implementing public health intervention activities.
